Everyone Hates Marketers

Louis Grenier built a 300-episode podcast around the premise that most marketing advice is bad. Wrapped the podcast in 2024, published a book (Stand The F*ck Out), and the newsletter carries the same chip-on-shoulder energy. Will piss off CMOs who like neat frameworks. We mean that as praise.

Louis Grenier started Everyone Hates Marketers in 2017 as a podcast for marketers fed up with manipulative tactics and generic advice. After 300+ episodes with guests including Seth Godin, Joanna Wiebe, April Dunford, and Rand Fishkin, he wrapped the podcast and published his book Stand the F*ck Out in 2024. The newsletter (at stfo.io) is the ongoing extension. The voice is the difference. Louis writes with a chip on his shoulder about lazy marketing, vague positioning, and consultants who hide behind frameworks. Each issue makes an argument, takes a stand, gives you something to test against your own work. The audience skews senior marketing leaders and founders who've already worked through the standard reading lists.
